Jessy Schram is the American actress who portrays Cinderella and Ashley Boyd on ABC's Once Upon a Time and Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
Biography
Jessica "Jessy" Schram was born on January 15, 1986[2] in the Chicago suburb of Skokie, Illinois[1] to printing company owners[3] Kristie and John Schram. She has a sister, Nicole, and a brother, Jonathan.[2] At the early age of ten, she signed with a talent agency in Chicago[2] and spent her years modeling and acting in commercials. Her theatrical debut came at age twelve playing Kirsten in an American Girl Musical Revue production. The experience sparked a passion to be a performer.
As a teenager, she attended Buffalo Grove High School and took a dip as a singer with gig performances with blues band Joan Baby at Hard Rock Chicago,[1] but acting always came first for her. Jessy cites her great-grandfather as the main inspiration behind her desire to be an actor as she was greatly entertained with stories of his time in Chicago's silent film industry.[1]
Fresh out of high school in 2004,[1] she moved to Los Angeles after grabbing a spot on the Hallmark Channel's Jane Doe.[4] She is best known for her series regular role on TNT science-fiction show Falling Skies and has guest starred in over a dozen television shows such as Veronica Mars, Life, House, Ghost Whisperer and The Mentalist. Jessy was cast as a series lead in ABC's 2012 fall series Last Resort for thirteen episodes.
Off camera, she's deeply involved with charitable organizations Corazon de Vida that sponsors orphanages in Tijuana, Mexico[5] as well as the Los Angeles-based Project Angel Food.[6] Jessy is also a singer-songwriter and a big fan of the Jazz Fest, which she attends if her schedule permits it.[6]
