Yvette Nicole Brown is the American actress who voices the Sea Goddess Ursula on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Biography
Yvette Nicole Brown was born on August 12, 1971[1] in East Cleveland and was raised in the city of Warrensville Heights.[2] She attended Warrensville Heights High School and is a graduate of the University of Akron. Yvette began a career in television acting in 2000, appearing in episodes of Malcolm in the Middle, House, That '70s Show, 7th Heaven, Girlfriends, Two and a Half Men, Entourage, Rules of Engagement and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Her first regular role on a prime-time network series was Eartha Cleveland on The Big House, a 2004 ABC comedy that lasted only six episodes. That year also marked the beginning of her run as Helen on Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh series. Her films include singing sensation drama Dreamgirls, children's comedy Hotel for Dogs, romance-comedy-drama (500) Days of Summer and the action packed Repo Men.[2] She is known for her long term role on NBC's Community as single mother and college attendee Shirley Bennett.
