Enchanted Forest Timeline

In the battlefield of the Ogre Wars, Rumplestiltskin meets a seer, who tells him that his wife is pregnant and that his actions in battle the next day will leave his son fatherless. He tries to prevent that fate by injuring himself on the leg. As he returns home, his reputation as a coward has already spread. ("Manhattan")

Bored with her life, Milah, Rumplestiltskin's wife, leaves her husband and son behind and runs away with Killian Jones after meeting him and his band of pirates in a bar. Rumplestiltskin believes that his wife has been kidnapped, and he begs Killian Jones to set her free, but the captain refuses, calling him a coward. ("The Crocodile")

There is a gap here, where Baelfire grows up to be 13.

To save his son from fighting in a war, Rumplestiltskin steals a magic dagger from the Duke's castle and uses it to kill the Dark One, becoming his replacement. ("Desperate Souls")

A short time after, Rumplestiltskin uses these powers to broker a truce and end the First Ogre War.

Distraught over the ways in which his father's power is corrupting him, Baelfire makes a deal with Rumplestiltskin; if he finds a way to relieve his father of his power without killing him, Rumplestiltskin will do what is necessary to make his son happy. To this end, Baelfire receives a magic bean from the Blue Fairy. Baelfire uses the bean to open a portal to a "land without magic", but is sucked through it alone when Rumplestiltskin loses hold of him. Rumplestiltskin then vows to do whatever it takes to find his son. ("The Return")

Rumplestiltskin meets William Smee in a pub for William Smee has learned that the Dark One is seeking magic beans to travel to another realm; in return, William Smee asks for eternal life, but Rumplestiltskin can only offer to rewind the clock and give William Smee a second youth. While in the pub, he sees Killian Jones whom he believes to have kidnapped his wife. Later, he tracks down Jones in an alleyway, where he inquires about Milah, and the pirate tells the Dark One that his wife is dead. Rumplestiltskin announces that the two will fight the next day, during which Rumplestiltskin disarms his opponent and prepares to rip out his heart, but is stopped when Milah enters. Milah begs that Rumplestiltskin not kill Killian by offering him the magic bean, which is on Jones' ship. On the ship, Milah declares that she never loved Rumplestiltskin so he kills her by ripping out her heart. He requests the magic bean he came there to procure, but the captain has it in his hand, so Rumplestiltskin cuts it off and takes it, and Killian vows that he will kill him. Away from the ship, Rumplestiltskin opens Killian's severed hand and finds the bean to not be there, meaning Jones still has it. Killian replaces his hand with a hook and becomes Captain Hook, and his crew, along with prisoner William Smee, uses the magic bean to open a portal to Neverland. ("The Crocodile")

Rumplestiltskin meets the seer again and chastises her for not telling him everything he needed to know. She tells him that he will eventually find his son with the help of a remarkable young man. She also tells him that the boy will be his undoing. Rumplestiltskin kills her to get her powers and he tells her that he will kill the boy in question. ("Manhattan")

There is a gap in the timeline here, possibly centuries long.

Seeking a way to get rid of his corrupting parents, Jiminy receives a potion from Rumplestiltskin. After pulling an "elf tonic" scam on a young couple, Jiminy learns that his parents switched the "elf tonic" with Rumplestiltskin's potion, killing the couple and turning them into wooden puppets. The couple's young son discovers what has happened to them, to Jiminy's horror.Shortly afterward, the Blue Fairy grants Jiminy a wish, turning him into a cricket and tasking him with looking after the young boy; Geppetto. ("That Still Small Voice")

There is another gap here, long enough for a fairly young Geppetto to grow into an old man. This would seem to be the time in which the Second Ogre War occurs, and the events Granny recounts in "Red-Handed".

King Xavier entertains Princess Eva in hopes that she will marry his son Henry, who is fifth in line for the crown. Eva deliberately trips Cora causing her spills some of the flour she was going to the castle to sell. Eva berates Cora and then King Xavier humiliates her by forcing her to apologize. Cora sneaks into the masquerade ball that evening and dances with Henry, but Xavier sees through her and tells she does not belong there and that his son will marry Eva in order to save the kingdom's financial future. Cora hastily tells him she can spin straw into gold expecting to spite the king. He calls her bluff and locks her in a tower along with a room full of straw and a spinning telling her that she must spin the straw into gold before morning. If successful, she will marry Henry. If not, she will die. Rumplestiltskin appears and offers to do it for her in exchange for her first born child. She asks instead that he teach her how to do it. Intrigued, he agrees. Cora successfully spins straw into gold and becomes engaged to Henry. On the day before her wedding, Cora confides in Rumplestiltskin that she really does not want to marry Henry as it is unlikely that she would ever be queen. Instead she offers herself to Rumplestiltskin saying she would rather have love. Drawn by their mutual thirst for revenge, Rumplestiltskin agrees and amends their deal by having Cora owe him his child. Cora says she will leave with him after she takes the heart of King Xavier and crushes it in front of him. Cora confronts Xavier but he convinces her that love is weakness and that all that matters is power. Cora meets Rumplestiltskin and tells him she will not leave with him and she cannot give him his child since no child she has will be his. Instead she offers him her heart, which she removed, and which he refuses. Later, Cora presents her baby daughter to the kingdom declaring her name is Regina because she will be queen. ("The Miller's Daughter")

King George and his wife are unable to bear children so they seek help from Rumplestiltskin. The Dark One visits Ruth at her struggling farm. She recently has given birth to twin boys, and she is willing to give up one of them in exchange for financial security. ("The Shepherd")

Cora poisons Queen Eva days before young Snow White's birthday celebration. Snow White goes to get help from the Blue Fairy, who turns out to be Cora in disguise. Cora tempts her to use Dark Magic to save her mother. Snow White decides not to use the magic and Eva dies leaving Snow White with a charge to be good no matter what. ("The Queen Is Dead")

A young Regina rescues young Snow White from a runaway horse; as a result, Snow White's father, King Leopold, proposes to Regina. Regina plans to run away with her lover, the stable boy Daniel, but the two are seen by Snow White. Regina swears her to secrecy, but the young girl is manipulated into revealing the secret by Regina's mother, Cora. Cora kills Daniel. ("The Stable Boy")

Right before her wedding to King Leopold, Regina is desperate to escape, but is stopped by her mother Cora. Her mother tells her that she cannot leave without King Leopold, and that the planned wedding will take place. Regina steals her mothers spell book and uses it to summon Rumplestiltskin, who gives her a looking glass that will banish her to another realm. On the day of her wedding to Leopold, Cora visits Regina, and she tells her mother that the shrouded looking glass is a gift. Cora removes the veil, and Regina attempts to shove her mother through the portal but is suspended in magic. With encouragement from an apparition of Rumplestiltskin, she breaks free of the magic and pushes her mother through the portal into another world. Regina attempts to leave King Leopold's castle, but Rumplestiltskin stops her and offers her Cora's spell book, and she admits to him that she has loved using magic. ("We Are Both")

Rumplestiltskin leaves the Enchanted Forest to make a deal with Dr. Victor Frankenstein. In exchange for gold, Victor will master how to bring back the dead. Then Rumplestiltskin sends the Mad Hatter to the other world to bring Victor back to the Enchanted Forest so the scientist can collect an Enchanted Heart. ("In the Name of the Brother")

Rumplestiltskin begins to teach Regina how to use magic. After her wedding, Regina asks for Dr. Frankenstein's help to resurrect Daniel using one of the hearts collected by Cora; he tricks her and uses the heart to resurrect his brother instead. ("The Doctor")

There is a gap in the timeline here, Snow White grows from a child to a young adult.

While strolling along the shore one day, King Leopold discovers a lamp. Upon rubbing it, he releases a Genie, who informs him that he has three wishes. Leopold uses his first wish to set the Genie free, and uses the second wish to give the final wish to the Genie. The Genie accompanies Leopold to his palace, where the Genie falls in love with King Leopold's wife, Queen Regina. The Queen manipulates the Genie into killing King Leopold. Rather than use the escape Regina has set up for him, the Genie uses the wish at his disposal, wishing to be with Regina forever and always look upon her face. He is then trapped in a nearby mirror, becoming the Magic Mirror. ("Fruit of the Poisonous Tree")

Following the death of King Leopold, Queen Regina decides it is time to take out Snow White. To this end, she finds and hires the Huntsman to kill Snow White and bring back her heart. The huntsman takes the princess into the woods to kill her. She escapes, and is found by the huntsman shortly afterward. She gives him a letter to give to the Queen. After reading it, the huntsman lets Snow White go, telling her to run. He gives a stag's heart to the Queen, who, upon discovering this fact, takes the huntsman's heart from him and makes him her prisoner. ("The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter")

Particular events occurring in "Red-Handed", "Child of the Moon" and "The Evil Queen" and in "Skin Deep", "Dreamy", "Lacey" and "The Outsider" as well as the events of "Tiny", "The Shepherd" and "The Price of Gold" may happen concurrently.

After she is released by the Huntsman, Snow White goes on the run. She tries to hide in Widow Lucas' chicken coop where she is found by the owner's granddaughter Red Riding Hood. When she arrives in that town, she learns of a fearsome wolf that has been terrorizing it for a long time. She also learns that Widow Lucas is extremely protective of her granddaughter, and will lock her up and force her to wear a red cloak that will repel wolves on the nights the wolf is said to appear. With the aid of a fugitive Snow White, Red Riding Hood tracks a wolf that has been terrorizing her village. At first they find footprints that lead them to believe that the wolf is Red Riding Hood's love Peter, so they chain him to a tree. When Snow White informs Widow Lucas of this, she reveals to Snow White that Red Riding Hood is the true wolf so they go to where Peter has been chained, only to find that Red Riding Hood already has killed him. Widow Lucas shoots the wolf and cover her with the red cloak which changes her back to her human form. The towns people who have formed a mob are approaching and they are eager to kill the wolf. Widow Lucas distracts them while Snow White and Red Riding Hood escape.("Red-Handed")

After escaping the townspeople, on the night of a full moon, Red Riding Hood has Snow White leave her for the night as a precaution. Red meets up with a "pack" of werewolves like her including Anita, her mother. They accept her as one of their own and teach her how to control herself while being a wolf. Eventually Snow White finds them but is followed by the Evil Queen's knights. The pack defeats them but Quinn dies in the fight. Anita blames Snow White and tries to kill her when Red refuses to do so. Red protects Snow White but accidentally kills her mother and they escape together. ("Child of the Moon")

Estimated time of Maleficent placing a curse on Prince Phillip that turns him into a fierce creature called the Yaoguai and banishing him to a far off land to keep him away from Aurora. ("The Outsider")

To save his home from the Ogre War, Sir Maurice seeks the aid of Rumplestiltskin. The two strike a deal; Rumplestiltskin will end the war in exchange for Maurice's daughter; Belle. The girl complies and begins an unknown, significant amount of time as a caretaker for Rumplestiltskin's Dark Castle. ("Skin Deep")

A thief breaks into Rumplestiltskin's Dark Castle to steal a magic wand soon after Belle's arrival there. Rumplestiltskin easily subdues the thief and puts him in the dungeon to be tortured and killed. Belle frees the thief after her efforts to appeal to her master's graces are unsuccessful. Enraged, Rumplestiltskin demands she learn a lesson by accompanying him as he finds and kills the thief. They find him in Sherwood Forest, where the Sheriff of Nottingham tells them the thief's name is Robin Hood. Rumplestiltskin rebuffs Belle's efforts to convince him not to kill Robin Hood but is finally pacified when he sees that Robin Hood stole the wand to heal the pregnant mother of his child. Leaving a child fatherless is one thing he is reluctant to do, so he shoots an arrow near Robin Hood and mutters that he missed. Back at the castle, Rumplestiltskin gives Belle access to his large library, but saves face by saying he is only doing so because he wants it to be clean. ("Lacey")

The Queen and her soldiers arrive a village hoping to capture Snow White only to find that she is already gone. The villagers reject the Queen's offer of a reward for information about Snow White and she orders her guards to slaughter the entire village. Determined to win the hearts and minds of her subjects, the Queen gets Rumplestiltskin to change her appearance into that of a peasant so she could kill Snow White and become a hero in the eyes of her subjects. Rumplestiltskin agrees on condition that she cuts off trade to King George and tells her she cannot use magic in that form. She accepts and he changes her. The disguised queen visits the town square and makes a scene by protesting the townspeople's disfigurement of an effigy of her. The guards mistake her for creating the effigy and immediately take her to be beheaded. Snow steps in and rescues her. The Queen sustains a few injuries and Snow takes her to her hiding place in the woods where Snow cares for the Queens wounds for the next few days. The disguised Queen eventually recovers and travels for awhile with Snow. Snow, unaware of who she is really talking to, explains that she believes the Queen still has good in her and is willing to forgive her and be a family again if the Queen will stop trying to kill her. The queen is visibly moved but the two come across the remains of the slaughtered village and Snow quickly takes back what she said about the Queen and declares there is no good in her anymore. The Queen inadvertently reveals her identity and leaves Snow after a brief confrontation. The Queen returns to Rumplestiltskin to have the disguise removed. She tells him she has given up trying to win the people's love and is content with having them fear her. ("The Evil Queen")

Rumpelstiltskin and Belle have developed feelings for each other, and Rumplestiltskin tasks Belle with a trip into town to buy straw, expecting to never see her again. On her journey, Belle encounters the Evil Queen, who tells her that true love's kiss will break any curse. Inspired by this, Belle returns to Rumplestiltskin and kisses him. As a result, Rumplestiltskin visibly becomes more human-looking. When he discovers this, Rumplestiltskin locks Belle in his dungeon and destroys some of his property in a rage. He then releases her, claiming he does not want her. ("Skin Deep")

Eight dwarves hatch in a diamond mine. A year later, a young fairy called Nova gets in trouble at the mine, and the dwarf named Dreamy helps her. After a few words from Belle, he realizes that he is in love with Nova. He and Nova later plan to travel the world together. ("Dreamy")

The next night, Belle meets Dreamy once again. He encourages her to go on a quest with a group of men to slay the terrible Yaoguai. He also gives her fairy dust. ("The Outsider")

The same night Dreamy tries to leave, he is encouraged by the Blue Fairy and Bossy to end the relationship so Nova could achieve her dream of becoming a fairy godmother. Once he breaks up with Nova, Dreamy goes back to work. However, his ax does not work anymore so he is given a new one with a new name--Grumpy. ("Dreamy")

Soon after, Belle travels with the group of men to the far off land where the Yaoguai lives, but she misleads them to believe the creature will be by a lake, and she goes off on her own to find the beast in its actual location, the mountains. Belle finds the Yaoguai, but when she arrives at its cave the beast charges out. Mulan has found the beast at the same time, but she is unable to kill it in time. Belle is being attacked by the men who she misled from the Yaoguai, when she is rescued by Mulan. The two then go off to find the Yaoguai once again. The beast and Belle enter the village, where Belle defeats it with water. The beast writes "help me" on the ground, so she sprinkles it with fairy dust. It is revealed to be Prince Phillip, whom Maleficent has cursed to be a Yaoguai to keep him from Aurora. She takes the Prince to meet Mulan, and they go off on their own journey but Belle goes off alone. In the woods, the Evil Queen captures Belle, her location having been given away by one of the men Belle tricked. She is taken back to the Dark Palace where she remains the Queen's prisoner. But, the ring was a stolen one, and he was named a thief, and thrown into the dungeons for his crime.)

Snow White, acting as thief, hacks down a tree trunk to block the road when she sees a carriage approaching. Inside the carriage, Prince Charming and Princess Abigail are riding to the castle where their engagement party will take place. Prince Charming steps outside to examine the damage of the tree trunk. By the time he notices the scratch marks on the trunk, Snow White has jumped onto the carriage roofing and proceeded to snatch Prince Charming's box that contains jewels and his mother's ring. Prince Charming traps Snow White in a net, and makes her get his jewels back.Through their journey, Snow White is nearly caught by the Evil Queen's men, but Prince Charming saves her. The trolls refuse to give back the jewels, and instead want to ransom Snow White to the Evil Queen. Prince Charming is almost killed by the trolls, but Snow White throws her fairy dust on them; turning the trolls into harmless bugs. Prince Charming receives back his jewels, and Snow White her money. Unknowingly, they fall in love with each other. They part; Prince Charming to his engagement party, and Snow White continuing to find means through money to escape the Evil Queen. ("Snow Falls")

While Snow White seeks out Rumplestiltskin to give her a forgetful potion, Prince Charming is equally unhappy at his own engagement party. His heart yearns for Snow White even though King George threatens to harm everything dear to him if he does not marry Princess Abigail. Prince Charming writes a letter and sends a messenger dove to Snow White. He asks that if she feels the same way about him, then she should come meet him at the castle. Snow White is caught by King George's men as she enters the castle and put into the dungeons where she meets Grumpy. Grumpy's friend, Stealthy, breaks in and frees them. However, he is killed as they are escaping. Snow White turns herself in so Grumpy can leave unharmed. Their father disappears suddenly, and they are stopped by the Evil Queen's carriage on the road. The Evil Queen offers to help find their father if they help her with something. She sends them into the Blind Witch's house to retrieve an item, the poisoned apple. They succeed, and the Evil Queen is impressed by them. Near the end of the siege to take back the kingdom, King George's forces fail. Regina's forces can not stand up to the armies raised by Snow White and Prince Charming alone. Regina and Snow White meet in the forest, but it is just a trap set for Regina; the Blue Fairy freezes her with fairy dust. She is taken to a prison where she awaits execution. She nearly is put to death, but at the last minute Snow orders her life to be spared. Snow meets with Rumplestiltskin, who offers her an enchantment that will protect her from Regina, and she uses it to see if the Evil Queen will attempt to kill her if she let's her go. However, the test proves that Regina has not changed, as she tries to kill Snow White. Snow banishes her and warns the Evil Queen that if she ever tries to harm anyone in her kingdom again, she will be killed. A dejected Evil Queen returns to her palace, where she is visited by Rumplestiltskin. She is angry with him because the enchantment he gave Snow will not allow her to harm her ever again in the Enchanted Forest. But he reminds her that there is a way she can harm her, in another land. She then travels to Snow and Charming's wedding. ("The Cricket Game")

Snow White and Prince Charming officially marry. The Evil Queen storms their wedding ceremony, and promises to give them a gift that will destroy everything they love. ("Pilot")

This would seem to be the time in which Aurora begins her slumber since she is asleep when the curse is cast. It is estimated she slept for less than a year at that time. It likely occurred when Prince Charming and Snow White were married, depending on how much time passed betwixt their wedding and the curse's casting.
