Go!
People who would go after the powerful ambrosia (if they were selfish and greedy) would save themselves over the other. It's not much of a test of love for Emma because she would save pretty much anyone that was being in danger, lol.
The reason Emma would save pretty much anyone is because she's a loving person. That doesn't make it any less an act of love just because she has a lot of it.

In order to save her child from the darkness, Belle must become the dark one. But is resisting the darkness harder than she thought?
Imagine if it was Henry, her parents, Regina, and even Belle. She'd save them all, so that test was more of a test of greed/ambition than TRUE love.
How exactly was it a test of greed? She shoved him out of the firey vortex of death rather than saving her heart.
He was already dead though. She could have gotten her heart then gone for him, but she didn't.

Not exactly. It's easy to say that she'll do that for anyone, but you're in pain nd are given a choice to either save yourself or save the dead man you want to bring back to life, it's basically testing your determination to bring that person back. It's basically 'would you die so he can come back to life' kinda choice.
I think it was just an innovative way of officially confirming them as true love (coz if Zades or KansasWolfie are declared true love, then CaptainSwan bloody well are) instead of going for the usual kiss.
And well, I feel that ppl are finding this one so controversial because the mechanism is shown. What's the logic behind true love's kiss again? How does that one work? It just magically knows... Copy that magic mechanism to this one as well, if you'd rather...

I'm all for an innovative way, but the test isn't strong enough. Emma would save whomever was sititing there on fire, like Belle. The writers love innovation, but it doesn't always make the best sense.
The episode was good. Emotional for CaptainSwan but I'm being ptimistic and saying he'll be back :)
So much of backstabbing Hades... Why does he have to make everyone else's life hell?
Pan is re-killed (is that what they're calling it? Or some other?)
Operation Firebird overall achieved nothing, coz a) Hook's still in Underworld b) some people moved on, and some people went to a worse fate aka River of Lost Souls. I'd say that neutralizes each other. The only thing they managed to do was piss off Hades and reduce the Underworld population. Aaand setting Hades free to roam the mortal world.

I can agree on that... But again when has there been a logical true love test?
Disappointing to say the least.
The good:
The bad:
Hades "There is a test to assure that only those are worthy of eating ambrosia can reach it and it will require offering up your heart for judgement"
He says nothing about what it judges, it judging True Love is only assumed. It could easily be judging how pure her heart is. Sacrificing herself to save another's life shows a pure heart more than it does True Love. It simply requires an act of selflessness to prove one is worthy.
And keep in mind that Ends would save anyone under normal circumstances. But here she is in what looks to be extreme discomfort, and what is, I think, meant to represent a mortal condition (she could die). Given the higher stakes, her choice is more significant. Her list of people that she would risk actually dying for is, in my opinion, short. To be specific, that list would be her parents, Henry, Killian, and maybe Regina. Not Gold. Not Belle. Not Ruby. Not Robin.
And unless A & E have a really bizarre twist, if Robin is truly the death (and it is looking more and more to be the case), then it will be of the irreversible kind.
