But if they covered all sorts of new lands in these spin-offs, what would they cover in each half-season of the main show? I liked the idea of giving focus to Wonderland which had already been briefly seen. Oz has also been rarely seen, but what characters could an Oz spin-off possibly focus on? Agrabah would be cool, I guess, if done right, but it seems like there's very little about it that seems actually interesting. Wonderland was cool because it's the strangest of places, defying all laws, where anything can happen.
Oz is very massive. L. Frank Baum apparently linked most of his novels into the same canon. He wrote an entire novel about Santa Claus' backstory, then made him have a cameo in one of the Oz books. There have always been theories about an Arendelle-Oz spin-off featuring Santa as the villain and Elsa as the heroine.
And there's also Princess Ozma, who could be tricked by her council Kuzco into playing out the story of the Emperor's New Clothes (basically tricking her into thinking her nude body is draped in the most fragile and beautiful silks imaginable), and then taking on the moniker of the Evil Empress Yzma.
There's a lot that Oz could play with, honestly and not all of it has to be limited to itself or even Zelena.
