  • OUAT:Wonderland to me seemed like a half season long Wonderland story arc (like the 3A Neverland story arc) but it's story line couldn't fit into OUaT. But what about other separate story arc's? What would be the best: OUaT in Arendelle, Agrabah, VE, Neverland, Oz?

    • I would love to see Oz and Neverland get their own spinoffs! Once: Wonderland had only thirteen episodes before it was cancelled, but they were able to tell a whole story. I think if they do come out with other spinoffs, they should limit themselves to thirteen unless necessary! I guess that's just me being OCD, but I think that it would be a cool idea to have all the spinoffs the same except for the storylines!

    • I've seen enough of Neverland, that's just me, but I'd be fine with an oz arc, I just don't know where it would go. Also, I could see a frozen spinoff be possible. My idea would be that Elsa meets someone (the villain) who controls only fire, then they would be evenly matched, or one would get the better hand. Or it would be her love interest.

    • The Oz arc: After Zelena banished Glinda to the EF, She sets off to find a way to go back in time. The other two Witches try to stop her, making one wicked in the process. Dorothy, being a clumsy oaf, falls back into Oz, and makes friends along the way, all while Zelena owns dictatorship over Oz. Dorothy and her friends are the keys to Zelena's success, but Dorothy somehow manages to go back in time using herself and her friends. and Zelena finally plots her way to the EF to visit her sister. That would be a pretty cool arc!! XD

    • I think with the Neverland arc, it would show Peter and the Lost boys, trapping Wendy and her brothers, meeting Tink. Captain Hook and Baelfire would spend some time there. Also, if there was an indian camp there, I would love to see how they lived in their civilization. The mermaids would be pretty cool to see too!

    • I am not interested in seeing, another OUaT spin-off for a while. The writers should focus, on the main show.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I think we've already seen enough of Neverland, that much that it doesn't need a spin-off. I would like to see Neverland again in some Hook backstory though, because that is possible.

I think I would like to see Oz the most as we never really got into Glinda and Walsh as characters. Also Rebecca could return too, as she did a wonderful job on being wicked. But maybe this time lay the focus more with Dorothy instead of Zelena. And although the witches represented the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion I think we might be able to see them as characters too.

    • I honestly don't think OUaT needs anymore spinoffs. OW didn't do too well and the writers should really just focus on the parent series; there's already enough going on. Don't get me wrong, I love OW, but I don't think there should be anymore series like it.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I think a spinoff series could be a good idea.  Short story arcs, or a few standalone eps.  The spin-offs could be used as filler to cover the gap in the mid-season (and maybe even Summer) hiatuses.  And they wouldn't even need to focus on things like Wonderland, Agrabah, Oz, etc, though those would be options.

Instead, maybe focus on backstories and present stories for other characters.  Use the other fairy tales (with appropriate twists, of course) to provide the back story, and develop a present day story for the characters.  You could do something like "Once Upon a Time: Pinnochio", or "Once upon a time: Cinderella".  The main show is a composite of all of the fairy tales (though it tends to be very much Once Upon a Time: Snow White).

This type of approach might be more cost effective for the studio, as they would not necessarily have to build extra sets (they could use the current SB sets for present day, and reuse many of the EF sets for the flashbacks)

The "spin-off" could also allow the supporting characters to add some depth and color (Let's face it, Granny and Jiminy are wonderful characters, but there is very little depth or complexity to them).

The core cast would not need to be involved (or they could just have "cameo" appearances), which would allow them to focus on the main show stories.

As for the writers focusing, maybe use these spin-off eps as an opportunity for some of the assistant writers to stretch their wings a bit. It would allow the main writing staff to stay focused, but it might help train up others, which could have a positive benefit for the entire show.

    • I like that idea, a couple of episodes, just short story arcs or standalone episodes that cover the gaps, the missing pieces. They could do an episode of Cora in Wonderland, how she became the Queen of Hearts and how, why and when she brought Regina's father to Wonderland. They could do an episode with the Mad Hatter, one with Ariel, one with Tinkerbell, about how she ended up in Neverland, an episode about Young Baelfire in Neverland, an episode about Zelena before the missing year, an episode about Mulan, etc. There are just endless possibilities, and a lot of unanswered questions and gaps in the timeline that I'd like to see covered (that Cora thing is one of the mayor examples).

Except none of those unanswered questions, would progress the Snow White story forward. The reason behind the split seasons, seems to be to cut out the filler.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I know, that's why I want to see those things in a spin-off. It doesn't have to be a serialized spin-off, it could just be a standalone-episodes-spinoff, just 8 episodes or sth. during the winter hiatus. They could even call it 'Once Upon a Time: Missing Pieces'. Just like lost did, but entire episodes instead of only one scene. I don't think it's ever ganna happen, I just like the idea :)

Agreed, which is why you pull them from the main story line and put them in their own storyline.  If they are in their own story line, completely seperate from the main story line, then there is no need for their stories to move the main story along.  and the filler, which would be distracting to the main storyline, can be entertaining on it's own, and progress the support cast development apart from the main story.

And let's face it, many of us would enjoy seeing something OUaT related during the Hiatus, and it would not necessarily need to be the main story line.

    • Yes, the only thing even close will be Galavant, the singing fantasy/comedy airing over the once upon a time break.

    • What about a spin off based off the Black Cauldron with a arc in OUAT set as a backdoor pilot?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • OUAT Oz and neverland would rock! Robbie Kay is even showing interest in the later.

Oz could have two arcs: the first explaining what Zelena did during the twenty-eight years and how she got to the EF and the second with Glinda back in Oz attempting to reform the SisterHood of witches to fight a new enemy, say the Nome King?

We could bring back Dorothy and Walsh/the Wizard could return for an ep or two and we could actually meet Scarecrow, Tinman and Cowardly Lion. Just because they didn't show in the Oz arc doesn't necessarily mean they don't exist in that continuity, like how it looked like the Darling children never met Peter pan when the character was first hinted at in season 2, but it turns out they did in S3. I can already see the revealation that Tinman is Zelena's adopted dad.

      Neverland would be trickier. I can't see the character Robbie Kay played being redeemable but maybe a new Peter Pan could be chosen to save Neverland. We cold also find out the origin of the shadow and maybe have it or a different Shadow {connected to the first somehow} as the villain. Hook could show up in Flashbacks and Tinkerbell could maybe be assigned to help guide the new Pan and make sure he isn't corrupted. Tigerlilly might also be introduced and Robbie Kay could still play the Original Pan in either flashbacks or maybe as a test the new Pan has to face. I.E. Beat the old ruler of Neverland and earn his title.}

      What does everyone think?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • They should do the spinoff during the winter time after Galavant. They should do Once Upon a Time in Oz or maybe Once Upon a Time in Narnia (if they have included it). I have seen enogh of Neverland. They only new thing that they could include would be Tiger Lilly and the Indians.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Or maybe Lily from Season 4, Ep. 5 is Tiger Lily

    • I would be so freaking overjoyed if they do a spinoff focusing on both Mulan and Ruby. That would totally be awesome. Or yeah something like what was mentioned, filling in missing pieces of OUAT universe would be great as well. Maybe from there we could have Cinderella's arc for few episodes, and Oz for few episodes and probably Agrabah as well.

    • I would like to see Once Upon a Time in Oz. I loved Season 3B but it barely showed Oz and even when it did it stayed in like two places. Oz has many many great characters and settings.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I think Once Upon a Time in Agrabah would be cool. I loved seeing Agrabah in OUaTiW. Thoughts?

    • Once Upon a Time: Under the Sea - Ariel's full story. Although can they pull off decent enough CGI to make underwater adventures work? From what I recall of Splash, only a few scenes took place underwater, but it certainly was not children's film.

Make it ALL CGI/animated just like a lot of the Disney Movies of the same, but more adult orientated (PG or PG-13)? Even use the same style as the animated Little Mermaid movie/Sat morning cartoon?

Speaking of animation, would not a lot of potential OUAT spinoffs work as animated features? Animation is an area where Disney excels at anyways and it's not like they would need to hire or form a new division to pull this off. Commenters have mentioned Once Upon a Time in Agrabah - If they do the same style as Aladdin animated movies, but with the OUAT twists and smash ups, do you think this would work?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I would personally say NO to the fully animated series. Part of the allure of OUAT (for me, at least) is the live action aspect.  I like seeing the imagining of the live action actors, how they interpret and develop these classis characters, and seeing how these animated princes and princesses adapt to 21st (or at least late 20th) century life, and seeing how the 2 worlds interact.  So far, Adam and Eddy have not failed to deliver.

of course, that would make OUAT: Under the Sea extremely difficult (and probably quite expensive by the time you factor in the CGI required to make a believable undersea world).

    • I know we are going to have three villains next season. But I still think it will be a blast that the final season, all the villains will be resurrected. I am talking about Zelena, Cora, Pan and DQ. (I have to admit that I have grown attached to DQ, which is kind of bias since I like the actress's role in LOST and that cancelled show "V". I really want to see her again). Maybe Tamara and Greg? 9They will have blast trying to eliminate magic from as many characters as possible a la Ghostbusters).

in Lost we see that in the final season, A & E actually brought a lot of actors from the previous seasons. So I cannot see why they will do the same thing for OuAT. We can have something a la Naruto, in which these villains are all ressurrected again and will wreck havoc. And of course the good guys will be resurrected. So Bae will be there. Regina's first love (forget his name) will be there and create a love triangle between Regina, him and Robin. And of course Marian is back. Cinderella's Godmother....

And maybe some of the past characters could also come back. The Darlings. Bring Cyrus and his brothers. Mad Hatters.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I agree with HmCooper4. One of the biggest allure OUAT has is seeing our favourite fairytales and literature characters come to life.

And I know the idea is intriguing, but I am not a big fan of resurrection of any kind truly. Of course it's great that we have Rumple back after being dead, but no more I hope. Too much characters have either faked their death or were resurrected.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Since there is an after life of some sort in OUAT (we had Cora come back and process Snow), any character could come 'back' as a ghost or zombie or Frankenstein monster as well as a full resurrection (aka Rumples from the vault of the dark ones).

Now, I wonder if that means that anyone from LWM can come back from the dead as well, not just those who reside in FTL and LWC?

    • Hello Dearie's This is my idea>>>

As British Persons would know there is are two shows that run inline with each other, See BBC One UK www.bbc.co.uk/

Whereby there is a show called Casualty that runs on Saturdays and Holby City that runs on Tuesdays, however so their character's do what is classed as a "Crossover".  That some will turn up in each others show.

No why do other programs simply do not entertain this idea that two shows could combine and create a masterstroke!

      Here is the Idea,

I would like to see a Supernatural Vs Once Upon A Time Double Episode Crossover on each platform - two on Supernatural in a future season, and two on OUAT on a Future Season.

I am not one for spoilers, however I'd like these characters to be involved:

      Supernatural Characters.

John (yes John Ended up in StoryBrooke as his childhood place to dream) Dean and Sam Winchester, Gabriel, Crowley, Lucifer, Castiel, Rowena, Bobby, Metatron, Amara, Charlie (Land Of Oz Connection!  Oh Yes, Im Good!) Ruby (The Katie Cassidy one)

      OUAT Characters

[Had to start with this one Deaire] Rumplestiltskin (imagine Rumple Vs Lucifer / Crowley, Ouch Dearie) Snow White, Emma, Prince Charming, Evil Queen, Henry, Hook, Belle, Ariel, Wicked Witch (Oh what a fight up - Wicked Witch Vs Rowena "Cat's Amongst The Pigeons" with that one) Seven Dwarves, Peter Pan (Oh yes explanation for that one Dearie's) Ana and Elsa, Robin Hood anyone else I've forgotten to add due to popularity I apologise!

First Episode to get this going Dearie's: Supernatural Bonus Episode - Story Telling Time

Dean and Sam are laying in seperate Motel Beds [Called on the sign - Motel of Dreams], they flick between their now-selves and their Kid-selves several times, Lights flicker on and off, there is a picture seen above both beds> One is of Prince Charming and one of Robin Hood.  In the next Room Crowley and Castiel are sat up casting each other disgusting names, seen above their beds are Snow White and a portrait thats been smudged over.  Sam and Dean are dreaming a same dream of all the fairytales.  Dean screams out "Go Away Snow White."  Crowley and Castiel wander into the room wandering what the disturbance is> after their pause comes the title que> Bonus - Features Once Upon A Time type backdrop on title>

They wake up and the Book is sat on the table and Dean says to Sam this is what he was dreaming and Sam says he alike.  Castiel and Crowley snigger, they exchange unpleasantries and then a Girl walks by and says: "I hope you like Stories my friends you'll be in one...." Dean says "Yeah as if, (looking through pages) Yeah we are gonna see this dude, Rumple Still Skin." Sam laughs, Sam says "Its Rumplestiltskin" Dean says "That guy, what I just said."  The girl walks pass again, "Ah Ha Men Of Letter's don't be saying his name more then Three, or else he will be, where you are, youll see!"  Dean goes to the door, shouts, "Get back here!"  She's nowhere to be seen.

Then blood seeps through the paintings and covers the beds. In a flash its back to normal again.  Dean says "That girl believes in this nonsence, lets call this douches name!"  Sam trys to dis-encourage Dean"

Dean Starts calling>  "RumpleStllSkin, No! Damn it! RumpleStiltSkin Yeah got it that time, RumpleStiltSkin, On a Roll Rumple....."

Castiel and Crowley step backwards, Sam looks at Dean and says> "Umm Dean!  Buddy, Umm, What have you done you idiot!"  Dean Yells to Sam "Sammi this Rumple Douche-Bag ain't Real its all a story, look if this stupid this RumpleStillSkin was here then my name is Jasper Carrot"

"Hello Dearie, Oh Yes Im real, I am the Dark One, and you are a Man of Letters'  and what an example of one you are!"  Sam says "I read about you when I was a child never would I think your real?" Rumple "Real Dearie, quite Real!"

      More ideas will follow!

    • A crossover is a fun idea, but considering Supernatural and Once Upon A Time air on two different networks that are not associated with each other, that has a 0% chance of happening.

      Make that negative 50%! XD

Different networks, different continuity, different in every way possible. Disney/ABC would never let anything come close to that.
