HistoryEdit

Season OneEdit

Graham is first seen in the Pilot, when Emma Swan returns Henry Mills to his home. When Emma tries to leave Storybrooke to return to Boston, a wolf appears in the middle of the street and caused her to wreck into the Storybrooke sign. She wakes up in the Storybrooke jail, where Graham is currently releasing Leroy from his cell. He doesn't believe her when she tells him that a wolf caused her car accident.

After Archie Hopper gives Emma Henry's file, Graham shows up at her room at Granny's and asks for Henry's file back, claiming that Dr. Hopper reported it stolen. Emma gives him Henry's file and tells him that she was set up as she is arrested. Later he lets her go and asks her to become his deputy.

He went looking for David Nolan after he escaped from the hosptial along with Henry, Mary Margaret and Emma's help. He also helps Emma when Henry runs into the sinkhole. It is revealed that he is having an affair with the mayor shortly after he asks Emma to become his deputy, claiming that he would really be at the animal shelter that night.

Graham is upset about Emma witnessing him leaving Regina's house and wants to make it up to her. She refuses his apologies and pleas, so he kisses her, and briefly gets a flash of a memory of who he was in Happily Ever After. He realizes then that he had never felt anything before and goes to Regina's house. After asking if Henry was in bed, he kisses Regina, but discovers that he does not get the same burst of feeling as he had with Emma.

That night, he wakes up from a dream and tells Regina about his recurring dreams. Regina tells him to go back to sleep, but he heads outside to get some air and sees the wolf from his dreams. The wolf leaves before he can go after it.

The next day, he visits Mary Margaret and asks her whether or not they've met before Storybrooke. He proceeds to question Mary Margaret, making her fully aware of the haze in her memories. After Mary Margaret, he goes to Henry's house and asks whether or not he's in Henry's book.

Henry tells him that he's the Huntsman and that the Evil Queen stole his heart so that he would never feel again. Henry tells him about the Queen's signature symbol and Graham goes off in a frantic search for his heart. He manages to get Emma to help him and, when he sees the wolf haunting his dreams a second time, chases after it.

The wolf leads the pair to Henry Mills Sr.'s grave, where Regina catches them searching for Graham's heart. Graham breaks his affair off with her and, after a catfight between Regina and Emma, heads for the station with Emma. Unknown to them, Regina has descended into the chamber where all of her captured hearts are held. She takes Graham's heart and starts squeezing it slowly turning it to dust.

Back at the station, Graham apologizes for Regina's behavior and kisses Emma again. After he pulls back, he smiles and says he remembers everything. Before Emma can ask what he means, he suffers a fatal "heart attack" and dies in her arms.

TriviaEdit

  • He had an affair with Regina Mills (In Episode 4 and 6, he is hinted to have slept with Regina. In episode 4, it was at Granny's Bed and Breakfast.)
  • Regina gave him the job position of sheriff sometime before the events of the series.
  • His death is caused by Regina's wrath. She retrives his heart from her vault and squeezes it until it turns to dust. The cause of death, as stated by Emma, was listed as a sudden heart attack.
  • In the original script, he stated that he got his accent from his parents.
  • Likes pixie sticks.
  • He is the first Storybrooke resident to regain back memories of his old life. (Regina, Mr. Gold, and Jefferson retained their memories from the start)
    • Remembering the events of his past life when he kissed someone important to him is strikingly similar to what happened to numerous characters in the final season of another ABC series, Lost. This was likely a deliberate connection, as the creators have stated that there are many hidden references to the show in Once Upon A Time.
  • In a interview with Exclusive by Tierney Bircker, Jamie Dornan stated that he orginally supposed to be another character, however because they could not get the rights, they made him the Huntsman. It was not said who he was but it was hinted he may have been Robin Hood. Read more here.
  • In Disney's version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Humbert was the name of the Huntsman.

  • I hope he can be resurrected somehow.

  • Isn't he supposed to be returning soon?! or is that just a rumor?! or has it been confirmed?!

  • Many people stated Jamie Dornan was supposed to play Robin Hood when the producers wrote the first scripts, but they couldn't make it because they didn't get the copyrights... Do you really think that's right ? I mean, Robin Hood is an old british legend, I can't see why they would need an authorization to develop his story... But if it's confirmed, that would mean we won't see Robin Hood in the serie ? Now I know that, I think that story could fit very well with the plot ! He lives in the woods, steals rich people... It could totally be added to the serie...

    • How come they couldn't get rights, Disney made a Robin Hood movie and ABC is owned by Disney

    • That's what I was thinking, but the medias seem to believe that they couldn't get them...

    • May have something to do with the movie that came out not too long ago

    • I think, if Disney once had the rights to make something doesn't mean that they keep the rights. Disney had to lease the rights to Tarzan: they made three movies off of it and part of the Kingdom Hearts video game features Disney's Tarzan, and they had plans to add Tarzan to a bunch of the other Kingdom Hearts games too...But Disney couldn't work out a contract with the ppl who own Tarzan...so they couldn't keep those video games in production. I think it might be the same for Robin Hood if the character and/or story is owned by someone else.

    • @ Fan de lost,

if you would go to the trivia part of this page and found "In a interview with Exclusive by Tierney Bircker, Jamie Dornan stated that he orginally supposed to be another character, however because they could not get the rights, they made him the Huntsman. It was not said who he was but it was hinted he may have been Robin Hood. Read more here. clicking the blue here will will take you to the interview with exclusive.

  • In a recent interview before the Spring Hiatus, they stated that he would come back in the VERY last episode!

  • I think it would be really cool if he came back to Storybrooke as the Huntsman then met Emma and falls for her as his counterpart did! It would be really nice so we could see him everytime on our screen in season 2.

  • A lot of people seem adamant that Graham can't come back, but I think maybe he could... after all he was killed in Storybrooke - a construction of the curse, it's possible that magic caused within the curse doesn't affect their alter-egos in fairytale land, so when Emma/whoever breaks the curse he could be there alive. Maybe unlikely but I would buy that ending.

  • i think its wierd that Sheriff Graham has the Irish accent! is there Ireland in FTL?? :P what i mean is Mr. Gold's accent is less pronounced even though Robert Carlyle has an accent. I know Jamie Dornan is Irish, but Sheriff Graham?

  • hm. i wonder what's gonna happen if he comes back and august and emma are together. awkward much? do u guys like graham and emma or august and emma? i, for one, like august and emma. i don't fancy grahams accent all that much, and august is so much more...idk. mysterious, protective (even though we haven't seen a protective side, you can definitely see that attribute in him if there was an opportunity for him to be protective) totally just badass. there are so many badass's in once upon a time. red riding hood, august...even emma's a badass.

    • Graham's dead, he's not coming back, the Huntsman is. In a flashback. If they were to bring back Graham, they better have a damn good explanation.

    • He never really died. Regina faked the autopsy report and he has been recovering from a heart transplant surgery in the basement of the hospital ever since.

If I were a writer, which I`m not, that is what I would do.

    • I'm saying, if they find some half-assed excuse to bring back a man we saw die in the arms of the main character.... It goes right against the statement they were trying to make by killing him in the first place. It cheapens his death.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Graham. Jamie Dornan is a great actor. But hes dead, you know? He needs to stay that way. Otherwise, I'm gonna lose respect for the writers.

    • In the show, it's stated even magic can't bring back the dead. Rumpelstiltskin said that when the King wanted his son James resurrected, but that was not possible at all.

Yeah, I don't see how Graham will come back unless he's in flashbacks in Storybrooke prior to Emma's coming. Or that he plays the part of the Huntsman in flashbacks. Cause I think Graham's dead. You guys saw, too, that Regina crushed his stone heart. That made him die. How is he supposed to come back to life without it?

    • Guys, Gram is dead. Gone for good.

    • Yeah I think so too. He'll probably only show up as the Huntsman in the Fairytale flashbacks. =/ But Graham was a good guy. too bad he died =[

  • Okay, how was Graham able to function without his actual heart in his chest, though? Regina had his heart in its' crystalized form locked away. Is that why he kept saying he couldn't feel anything? I understand the stone heart was actually his because when Regina crushed it, he died instantly. That's the same thing with Daniel with what Cora did, but I wonder if Cora didn't crush his heart and only took it out, would've Daniel been able to survive, but not be able to "feel" anything like Graham?

    • And the chamber Regina has ... does that mean she has everyone else's hearts in that place too? O_O

    • Graham probably had an actual heart.... Think of the one Regina killed him with as his "true" heart, the heart from his body as his true.identity as the Huntsman.

    • That makes sense. Meaning if the true heart is gone, the person is gone too. =[

    • Actually cora did crush Daniel's heart! you can function without a heart but Regina (or whoever took the heart) would be in total control!

  • he gonna be in the last episode of season 1 i'm so happy :)

    • HE IS??!!?!

    • No, the Huntsman is. Graham is dead.

    • Solitude,

That would be the Huntsman in flashbacks, only, right?

    • Yes. Everything in FTL is a flashback.

    • Right, I thought so. What else could they possibly show the Huntsman doing, though? It makes me skin crawl thinking about how the Evil Queen ripped out his heart and then proceeded to tell him he was now her pet. And then how he was dragged of to her bedroom, of all places (the implication is ... deafening ... ugh, especially seeing those two scenes w/ Graham and Regina).

  • I don't understand how they could kill him without showing us a bit more about who he was and who he was supposed to be...I really thought he and Emma would have something going!

  • hi

  • You know what I'd wish they do, I wish they wouls bring him back, like now that he has died his spirit has returned to fairytale land and he lives ther

  • Also, he's seen around Ruby and her Gramma a lot. Even on the street when Ruby is putting out the sign and Grandma is returning home with bread, the sheriff is walking by.

  • Big bad wolf from both Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs. In the pilot, the morning after she spends the night in jail after seeing the wolf on the road diverting her from leaving town, she offers to help find Henry who has gone missing again. When asked how she knows what to do, she says, "finding people is what I do." Sheriff responds: "I'm a bit more old-fashioned in my techniques, pounding the pavement, knocking on doors, that sort of thing." Pounding the pavement, the wolf was on the pavement the night before preventing her leaving. Knocking on doors? Hmmmm.

  • Well I think he's the "Mirror On the wall" :)... Since he's close to the Queen, as well as the Mayor... Lol... Mostly likely eh? :D

  • the story of robin hood is folklore, not fairy tale. i doubt that any of those characters will appear in the series.

  • Sheriff of Nottingham that's my guess!

  • I believe he is Emma's Prince Charming that is why Henry doesn't know who he is, because that part of the story isn't written

  • He can't be the huntsman cause in tonight's episode Snow White said that the Evil Queen sent her husband to get her heart. So her husband was the huntsman. I'm thinking wolf. But I wish he was robin hood :)

  • Is he the wolf since he said the firest was his home or something :P??

  • i thought he was the sheriff of nottingham from robin hood cuz hes british but seeing as hes a good guy here idk its more likely hes the huntsman like everybody else thinks

    • You have to remember, she promised all the 'evil' characters happiness/success. The sheriff is a position of power that could be seen as a position of power and success. The Major said that she got him the position. Which leads me to think that he is an 'evil' character that will become more simpathetic.

    • I thought huntsman too. I've thought that since episode 1

  • Since he does whatever Regina asks of him, and always brings Emma to prison, I think he may be the Huntsman. In Snow White, the Huntsman brought Snow White into the forest but took pity on her and didn't do as the Queen asked of him - which was to kill Snow White. In tonight's episode, Graham went against Regina toward the end, telling her to approach the situation differently, reflective of the tale. I think we'll find out next week if it recounts how Snow White wound up in the forest.

    • i totally agree with you!! i thougth the same thing when i saw last week episode. and with yesterday's episode, when snow white told prince charming that the huntsman took pity on her and free her. And the sheriff telling emma and mary margaret that the woods were his lands.. i would bet anything that he's the huntsman

  • i bet he's robin hood.

    • What the fuck? Why would Sheriff Graham be Robin Hood? He is not because if he was, then they would've said something about it and it would've already been added into the show.

  • i think he'ss the huntsman from snow white
