Quinn Lord is the Canadian actor who portrays Hansel and Nicholas Zimmer on ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Quinn Edmond Julian Lord[4] was born on February 19,[1] 1999[2] in Canada to a British mother and American father.[3] He has an older brother and sister.[5] As a child, Quinn often watched his father perform improv theater at a coffee house, and frequently joined in on stage. His passion for acting for an audience was just more encouragement for himself to re-enact lines from movies, sing song lyrics and do break dancing in public.[4] This knack led his parents to enroll him in a children's improv class. Quinn had his first commercial appearance at age five with over twenty-five in total by the age of six. By then, he moved onto television work.[2]

His first television role was for Canadian miniseries Terminal City in which he played the role of Marmaduke. Some of Quinn’s most notable work to date includes appearing in the dramatic feature film Things We Lost In The Fire as Cousin Joel alongside Oscar winners Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro, and the Christmas comedy Deck The Halls with Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick. By age ten, Quinn has worked on the productions of Blade, The L-Word, Stargate SG-1, and Supernatural.[2] For his work on Smallville, he was nominated for a Young Artist Award in 2008 in the category of Best Performance for a Television Series.[6]

Quinn's feature film debut was in the macabre horror anthology of four Halloween-related stories Trick 'r Treat whereas he portrayed the character of Sam, a mysterious trick-or-treater who wears a burlap sack with button eyes for a mask. Other film projects were 3-D film The Hole and Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Both The Hole and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus were given screenings at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.[7]

He has also done voice work; starring as the lead voice of Charlie Brown's friend Linus in Warner Brothers' series Peanuts.
