I couldn't be more excited to write this story, a modern day New York City fairy tale featuring OUAT's Henry and Violet in high school. Once Upon a Time is such a magical show, and the opportunity to write a story set in my favorite fairy tale city is a dream come true.

Michelle Zink is an American writer of young adult literature who wrote the Once Upon a Time novel Henry and Violet.

Biography

Michelle Zink was born on November 30, 1969.[1] She currently lives in New York with her four children and her cats.[1][2] She has always been fascinated with ancient myths and legends. Never satisfied with simply reading them, she usually ends up asking, "What if?". Sometimes asking only leads to more questions, but every now and then, when everything falls into place just right, a story is born.[3]

Zink's first novel was Prophecy of the Sisters. It was chosen as one of Booklist’s Top Ten Debut Novels of 2009, and as one of the Chicago Public Library’s Best Books for Young Readers. It has been listed on the New York Public Library’s Stuff for the Teen Age and the Lone Star Reading List,[1] and was also named in the Autumn 2009 Indie Next List.[3] Eventually, she made a Prophecy of the Sisters trilogy, as the first book was followed by Guardian of the Gate in 2010 and Circle of Fire in 2011.[4]

Zink also wrote many other books, including A Temptation of Angels, The Wicked Game or The Shadowguard series.
