  • As you may or may not know, the community is currently discussing adding new Forum/Discussion mods. You haven't made any edits in seventeen months (your last edit was made on June 2, 2017). Does this mean that you are no longer interested in continuing your job as a Forum Moderator?

Please note that if you still wish to continue with your job, you need to let us know right away, before the community decides to replace you, and you will also need to resume your duties and actively contribute to the wiki.

  • Hi,

As you are a Forum Mod, I was wondeirng if anybody else has repored a problem with notifications. Only on this wiki has my notifications not updated for forums such as the Survivor one and pretty much all of them. I still get notifications on other wikis so I was wondering if there was a problem with this sites?

      Preparing Editor Spell
    • No one else has said anything to me about missing notifications.  But you might run that by one of the admins. They might know more about any issues that are occurring.

I will say that Notifications for me have always been a bit on the squirrelly side, but it's usually more just that I need to slow down and let the notifications load, and then it's fine.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Just as you have replied, they seem to be working again. Thanks.

  • I would ask respectfully that you admins don't remove my comments, please put it back.

      Preparing Editor Spell
    • And I would ask that you not post such blatant and inappropriate comments. I removed the comment because it was inappropriate, and it will stay removed. Consider this a warning.

    • But Milah was a wicked bitc# and a terrible person. Stating it like it is.

    • There are better ways to express your opinion that are not inflammatory. and calling someone a bitch is not among that list. using strong language is one of the surest ways of starting a flame war on a board. and that is what I am trying to prevent.

      If you don't like a particular character, that is not a problem. Just find a less inflamatory way of expressing your opinion.;

  • Hey there!

Wikia has made some changes to the "moderator" concept. What it means to you is that you now have extra powers! Instead of being a "Forum Moderator", you're now a "Discussions Moderator".

What this means is, you now have chat mod abilities (kicking and banning users from chat) and the ability to edit, move and delete article comments. (And blogs, but we don't use those)

I have absolutely no issues with you having these extra abilities XD My only advice is, if you choose to delete old article comments, please don't delete a bunch at a time. It messes with the Recent Activity, and can make it look blank XD And remember that deleting a parent comment deletes all the child comments as well.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! :)

You can read more about the changes here.

    • thanks for the heads up.  As with everything, I promise to use the utmost caution. :)  The sharp troll axe will be used as sparingly as ever.

  • Why couldn't Rumpelstiltskin bust down the huge door in Skin Deep? I mean, as the Dark One, shouldn't he be able to, or do you think the writers didn't want to make him too unmanageably strong?

      Preparing Editor Spell
    • I'm not sure which big door you're talking about.  Do you mean the one at Maurice's castle? If you're talking about that one, yes, he could have busted it down, but he had been summoned, and Rumple tends to play by the rules, when he wants to anyway.

  • It was stated numerous times in season three that Pan was stronger than even Rumpelstiltskin and that he wouldn't survive if he fought Pan, but this was never shown to any degree. Everything Pan ever did, Rumpel could've easily done, I didn't see Pan do a single thing that Rumpelstiltskin couldn't have done. The writers built Pan up to be this boyish, demonic thing that could theoretically achieve any feat he could imagine with the power of his mind, but then ultimately he's defeated by Rumpel just opening the box and him getting sucked in. I really wanted a fight between them, and writers built up to that fight, in the end to just have him sucked into a box. What are your thoughts on this?

      Preparing Editor Spell
    • Honestly, I have yet to see any magic weilder be as powerful as the Dark One (and that looks to be true for Emma now that she's the Dark One).  I think Pan, within Neverland, was powerful, but the edge he held over Rumple was not magical, but psychological.  Rumple had a lot of 'Daddy issues', and I think that may have colored some of his thinking.  Also, while Rumple may have been more powerful than Pan, there may still be truth that the only way for Rumple to defeat Pan was exactly as he did.

Also, Rumple did not defeat Pan by opening the Box, as we saw.  Pan pulled that last minute switcharoo with Henry, and gained the upper hand on Rumple, at least for the moment.  No, the only way Rumple defeated Pan was by sacrificing himself.

  • May I ask you why my thread was moved to the Spoiler section ?

    http://onceuponatime.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:222577

I'm not complaining though. I'm just kinda curious :)

I thought we usually posted theories in the General Discussion section !

      Preparing Editor Spell
    • Though, I am not Hm, I can say that discussing casting call news (such as Rumple's mother) is a spoiler technically.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • And that is the exact reason I moved it.  Discussing Merlin (and to a lesser extent Arthur and Guinevere) border on Spoiler.  Merlin we are anticipating because of the FInale, and the other 2 are, while not a given, a logical leap, particularly since we have had Lancelot. Now, when they ever announce who is actually cast for these roles, that information will probably be limited to the spoilers board for a little while.

Rumples Mom, on the other hand, is not something that anybody would expect, and for those that want to try to avoid spoilage, we try to limit that exposure by putting the threads in the Spoilers section.  In this case, just the fact that they are casting the role might be considered major spoilage.

And there are just as many theories espoused on the Spoilers section, It's just the theories are based on such things as casting calls, episode titles, BTS pics, etc.  Things that are very much spoilery (if that is even a word).

But keep up the good posts.  It is a very good discussion topic, and you've had some really good comments so far.

  • should close threads of stuff that's already been answered.

      Preparing Editor Spell
    • That's not a bad suggestion, and something that I've being thinking about. I just need to find time to go through all of the currently open threads (there's only half a billion or so :D) and determine which threads really need to be closed.
