Well, I'd like to suggest something, I just couldn't think of a good quote. I was thinking maybe something he said to Rapunzel in the scene where he gave her the cloak, I probably should have said that in the comment. My bad.
You need a source that is not Wikipedia. Wikipedia can be edited by anyone. And the creators have never said Emma is based on Swan Lake, not anything I've ever seen. Feel free to show me a source that says otherwise though.
This is going to be your last warning. If you want to stay on the wiki, as I'm sure you do, you are going to have to stop looking for trouble. You dislike Farerb's opinions just as much as I do, but it gives you no right to attack him. Especially when we got a separate thread for him and others to voice their ridiculously negative opinions. You deliberately went INTO that thread, knowing fully well what you would find, and attacked him. If I ever see you looking for a fight like this again, you will be permanently blocked.
Please avoid answering something like "I wasn't trying to be rude." because that is the excuse you have used over and over again. I will not accept it anymore. I hope this is the last time you do something like this.
I really do mean that. I may have come off a bit harsh, but that was not my intention. I do have a question for you and the other admins though, what was the point of doing a rant and rave board, if no one was allowed to discuss the complaints? Seems kind of counterproductive on a fourm. If people just want to vent, that's what blogs are for. Fourms are for discussions. Just food for thought.
You did not come off a bit harsh, you blatantly attacked another user because you don't like what they were saying.
And you are more than welcome to discuss the complaints in the Rant and Rave board. What you were doing was far from discussing. You were ridiculing another user. What is even worse, you were taking it upon yourself to suggest that they leave this wiki altogether. That is one hundred percent unacceptable.
Besides, the thread was created after a community discussion in which you took part yourself. You know just as much as the admins and everybody else about why that thread was created.
I mean, we are just interpeting the events differently. I was merely trying to point out that Farerb constantly compairs this show to Buffy, always in that Buffy is surperior to Once, and was saying that if he likes Buffy so much, he should go to that wiki's forums. I never said he shouldn't be on these fourms, I was merely suggesting fourms he may like better.
Even if you were merely suggesting that, it is an incredibly condescending thing to suggest. The warnings you were given by Eskaver and myself still stand. If you have to be blocked, it will be permanent.
Where is this even coming from? If you'd rather have a person who hates the show (and makes it abundantly clear) here than me, maybe it's just time for me to leave. I'll probably be taking a break from here after the finale anyway, but you guys should really think about not scaring off actual fans of the show, on the fan wiki.
Not scaring anyone off the wiki is exactly where the warnings you're getting are coming from. I don't prefer you over show bashers or the other way around, and I won't tolerate you attacking anyone or trying to push anyone to leave the wiki.
And you don't think the negative attitude that Farerb and other users show doesn't scare people off? Because I can guarentee it most certainly does. I'm not saying anyone has to leave or be banned from the wiki, but a serious discussion of why these people are even here should occur. I covered this when we were discussing the Rant and Rave board, but to review: If certain people don't have anything positive to say about the show, why are they even here? To upset people who do like the show? Because to me, that is the only logical explaination. You don't go to a place specifically designed to be a meeting place of people who enjoy something, and then constantly bash it. Honestly, it's a form of virtual bullying. I get the admins are walking a very fine line, but they have to think about what is going on. And don't get me wrong, I do appreciate that the users are trying to stay on the "negative" board with negative thoughts, but I think even then, the question of "what are you even doing here" is still valid. Maybe I should just start a thread about this thought, so other users can weigh in. Would that go under Wiki Related, Rant and Rave, or Off Topic?
I wasn't going to single out specific users. Just a general "How do people feel about people who are bashing the show, on a fan wiki" thread. I also don't understand how you are making it like only I am attacking users or being condesending. Some of these users are often condesending to people who like the show, as well as to the writing staff and actors. Are we condoning that behavior, while saying what I am doing is enough for a permanent ban? Right now I feel like the only person being attacked here is me.
Okay. I understand that he has been reimagined by someone. But what I mean is that if the stories are subject (ie, they are continuations) of the true stories. For example, in the fourth season of Once Upon a Time, Elsa says that Hans is planning to attack Arendelle. I want to know if this in Frozen 2 has to happen or it might not.
Your posts are being deleted because you refuse to stay on topic. You keep coming back at other users, it's not the first time I see you trying to get the last word on a discussion, trying to outwit people who disagree with you and showing zero respect for the actual discussion that is taking place around you.
Your posts will not be deleted when you start caring about where you voice your opinion, because sometimes you end up giving unsolicited counterproductive and even rude comments where they don't belong.
I try to stay on topic as much as possible. As with any discussion, sometimes one thing in the discussion leads to a new side discussion. That's more the nature of conversation, and I'm not sure I can do much about that. Also, I was asking a legitimate question because I was confused, but your answer back seems a bit agressive. Probably not your intent, but I just thought I'd point it out, because I'm not trying to derail things, even though it seems like you think I do. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
You're just proving my point, you seem to have a desperate need to always have the last word. I police everyone, and even if you want to make that sound like a bad thing, it's one of the responsibilities I have as an admin.
Now please move on. I will not play the I-have-the-last-word game, so you can either accept that your posts did not belong in that thread, or you can ask another staff member for extra clarification. All I have to say about this matter is already on this thread.
I was just making a point that Farerb was being rather inflammatory to me, ironically in a thread where we are discussing how people's negativity is bothering people, and what we should do about it. It is fine, I'm not asking for the post to be restored, I was just curious as to the reasoning. And yes, I do like to have the last word, but that's because if someone else still has something to say, I feel that we are not done with the discussion, and I don't want to be rude by ignoring them. If I have the last word, I know the conversation is over. Just a quirk of mine.
I wonder why the music almost all went off, maybe the site that is hosting only allows so many people to listen to them. I don't have any of the music saved, unfortunatly. You can try just posting on the forums though, as somebody might.
I agree with almost everything you said. The only think I don't is that I think Aladdin and Jasmine will be resolved before the finale, somewhere around 6B. I think the setup for 7 will come later, and may have something to do with a LOUS character, which is maybe why they were put on the back burner.
I've noticed recently that there have been some back and forth between you and Nicky on the boards. And these interactions tend to get very intense on both sides. I've warned Nicky about her actions, and I'm warning you as well. Don't engage in the name calling, and button pushing, over-heated conversations. Those are not beneficial for the community.
Hello! I've been going through and deleting comment threads, as I often do, and I'd like to draw your attention to a habit of yours that needs to stop.
Check out this screenshot here. Now, I'm not here to go into the debate that was happening there, as it's one that is had over and over on pretty much every episode while filming. The issue is the "I really wish you would listen to me." comment you added later, I believe the day the press release came out, I assume because you were "proven right" about Mekenna Melvin. This isn't the first time you've added a comment like that in this kind of situation.
Please, don't do stuff like that. It's inflammatory and unnecessary.
Sorry, I was just annoyed because we had proof that she was in the episode, Mekenna (who we knew is an actress based on things like IMDB) posted "I took that picture too" to Jessy on something that was clearly a Once backstage area, and we had a picture of Mekenna filming the scene with Jacob and Lady Tremaine, and both of those were not enough "proof" to be added. It seems like "proof" is very subjective on this wiki, as to what gets added and what doesn't, and even though Lady was demoted from admin, it seems she still very much acts like an admin, as far as deciding things like that.
As I said, I'm not debating what was being discussed on the page. Frankly, I'm about done with your attitude. You should know by now that IMDB is not a source we use, nor do we usually just use even actor's tweets/IG posts of images alone as sources. (It is not unheard of for actors to visit sets when not filming) Yes, it turned out you were "right" in the end, but there is a difference between what we know and what we can source.
Further, there is no need to add a sarcastic comment at the end of a discussion like you often do. There is also no need to drag Lady into this, she takes things on the wiki just as seriously as you do, admin or not.
Bottom line, get you attitude in check or you will be blocked. This isn't a debate, it's a warning, and one that I hope you'll remember in the future.
Wow, okay. Sorry for trying to help the wiki be more accurate. And sorry for trying to voice my opinion, as a joke, when it was all over. I guess you find it annoying, as a find many things annoying in real life and online. I wish I could just threaten to block everything I find annoying, but freedom of speech doesn't allow for that. And yes, I understand we are more limited on what we can and can't say on here, but I wasn't degrading anybody, I wasn't useing swear words, I wasn't doing anything that I think violates wikia's policies. I was simply voicing my opinion with a little joke. I guess that is frowned upon here though. I will try to be better in the future.
You have been blocked for a week. Please use the time to reflect and come back with a respectful attitude. (by the way, "freedom of speech" applies to the US government not penalizing you. It does not mean you can say whatever you want without consequences.) I mean that sincerely. I enjoy having you here and reading your opinions, but the disrespectful attitude you're displaying will not be tolerated.
