Hey, Louie, lay off. It's just chicken. You don't need to be a jerk about it.

Jacinda to Louie src

Louie is a character on ABC's Once Upon a Time. He débuts, with his only appearance, in the first episode of the seventh season and is portrayed by co-star Darcy Laurie.

History

During Fifth Curse

One morning, one of his employees at Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack, Jacinda, is late for work. When she finally arrives, Louie notes she is late again. She tries to explain how she got held up because her roommate Sabine was taking too long in their apartment bathroom, but Louie is not having it. Nearby, another employee, Carl, accidentally drops a whole tray of chicken, causing Louie to yell at him for the mistake and deduct some of his paycheck on the spot. Jacinda stands up to him by telling him to stop being a jerk, and when Louie asks for an apology from her, she refuses. Upon receiving further insults from her boss about her being a single mom who can only manage to work for minimum wage, Jacinda quits her job. She returns to the apartment to tell Sabine what happened, and while Sabine is sympathetic about Louie being a terrible boss, she insists the job is necessary to help pay for their rent. Later at night, Jacinda returns, with Louie agreeing to rehire her. He then tasks her with sweeping the floor. ("Hyperion Heights")

At home, Sabine hears Jacinda return and tries to comfort her over her separation from her daughter, Lucy, who is now in the custody of Jacinda's stepmother, Victoria. Receiving an incoming text on her phone, Sabine answers to see it is from Louie, who is asking where she is, to which she begins leaving for her shift at Mr. Cluck's. ("The Garden of Forking Paths")

Finding out from her stepsister Ivy that Lucy is missing, Jacinda insists that she can't leave her work shift to go look for her or Louie will fire her. Ivy, irritated over this, decides she will look for Lucy on her own. Jacinda then changes her mind and considers she will just have to find another job, but Henry agrees to go in her place. ("Beauty")

While Louie is away at a regional managers' convention, Sabine persuades Jacinda to invest their time and money into selling beignets at Mr. Cluck's so they can earn big, however, it goes awry when Victoria orders her henchman, Ralph, to start a fire at the workplace to sabotage everything. ("Greenbacks")

As Roni is talking to Henry at the bar, she finishes up the conversation as Jacinda drops by, telling Henry she'll let the two have some time to complain about her in private, as she just recently hired Jacinda to work for her. Jacinda insists to Henry that Roni is a wonderful boss compared to Louie. ("Eloise Gardener")
