James Immekus is the American actor who portrays Michael Darling on ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

James Immekus was born in Crystal Lake, Illinois, and grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia. He is of German and Irish ancestry.[2] James attended Harrison High School and discovered his love for theatre. Voted by his graduating class as "Most Talented", it led him to attend the The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago where he received a BFA in Acting. He's performed at several regional theaters across the country including The Goodman Theatre in Chicago, The Contemporary American Theatre Fesitival in Shepherdstown, West Virginia and Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum. He's also been an ensemble member for The Interact Theatre Company based out of North Hollywood.[1]

He began his television debut in 2004 on the Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh and similarly took guest spots on a variety of genre shows, such as Numb3rs, Cold Case, House M.D., Charmed, Bones, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer, Mad Men, Emily Owens M.D. and many more throughout the years. His film credits include the 2007 comedy Boxboarders!, 2008 horror-comedy The Caretaker and 2013 dark comedy Friended to Death. Additionally, James lent his voice for the 2011 crime and action themed video game L.A. Noire.
