Dean White is an episode director for ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Career

White began his television career as a production assistant on the series Reasonable Doubts in 1991. He went on to become a post production supervisor for Charlie Grace in 1995. He joined the crew of Chicago Hope as an Associate Producer for the second season in 1996. He was promoted to co-producer for the fourth season in 1998. He remained in this role until the sixth season in the 1999 to 2000 television season. He then served as a co-producer for The District in the 2000 to 2001 season.

In Spring 2002 he joined the crew of FX crime drama The Shield as a co-producer for the first season. He returned as a co-producer for the second season in 2003. He remained a co-producer for the third season in 2004 and also made his directorial debut on the series; he helmed the episode "What Power Is..." He was promoted to producer for the fourth season in 2005 and helmed a further two episodes. He left his production role after the fourth season but remained an episodic director for the series. He helmed a further four episodes before its conclusion in 2008.

Following his work on The Shield he has directed episodes of Over There, E-Ring, the FX miniseries Thief, CSI, Prison Break, Saved, The Nine, Men in Trees, Dirt, The Unit, Shark, Friday Night Lights, and Six Degrees.

He joined the crew of Once Upon a Time as an episodic director for the first season in 2011.
