Caroline Ford is the British actress who portrays Nimue on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Biography
Caroline Ford was born in 1988 in Hertfordshire, Great Britain, United Kingdom, with Trinidadian, Chinese and British heritage.[2][3] In 2005, she attended the St Andrews University, where she graduated with a Masters in History of Art. As a student, she was cast in several prominent theatre roles including Juliet in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. She also became a model, when she signed to the Stolen modelling agency in Edinburgh.[2][4][5]
After graduating, Caroline promptly moved back to London where her acting career has quickly taken off.[5] In 2010, she made her television debut in an episode of BBC's Casualty. The next year, she has starred in a number of short films including Nick Rowland's Fair Belles and Eitan Arrusi’s The Crypt. Her others credits include some independent films, like Don Michael Paul's Lake Placid: The Final Chapter or Simon Blake's Still.[6]
During the summer of 2013, Caroline attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art's "Acting Shakespeare" course.[7] In 2014, she has been cast as Peshet on Fox's Hieroglyph, a proposed action-adventure drama series created by Travis Beacham.[8] However, the series was cancelled before airing an episode.[9] The same year, Caroline appeared in Sleepy Hollow's second season as Lilith, before being cast as Spindle in Travis Beacham's 2015 short film, The Curiosity.[6]
Caroline has also starred in a number of commercial campaigns including the Nivea 100-year anniversary campaign.[5]
