Alison Fernandez is the American actress who portrays Lucy on ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Alison Fernandez was born on July 20, 2005 in New York, USA.[1] Her father, Manuel Fernandez, eventually becomes her manager when she started acting.[1][2] She has an older sister, Sabrina, who is also an actress.[3] She received an education in acting for Theater, singing and choreography under the teaching of Jessica Rofé at the A Class Act NY.[2]

Alison got her start performing in commercials and modeling for companies like Toys-R-Us or Macy's. She also appeared in theatrical productions like Raindeer Rap and The Posada.[1] Her first real acting role was on John Aquadro's Most of My Memoirs Are Plagiarized in 2010.[4] She made her film debut in the 2014 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as Rosa Mendez.[1]

Alison rose to fame as she started to play Zara Amaro - Nick Amaro's daughter - in the popular drama Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2011. Her most recent appearance was in the 2015 episode "Padre Sandunguero".[1][4] From 2013 to 2015, she has also made recurring appearances in the Netflix series Orange is the New Black as Eva Diaz, the third daughter of Aleida and the sister of Dayanara.[1][4]

In 2016, Alison was cast in the ABC's pilot The Death of Eva Sofia Valdez, but it was not picked up as a series by the network.[4] That same year, she landed guest starring roles on three hit shows: Fresh Off the Boat, Another Period and Jane the Virgin.[4] In 2017, she appeared in the X-Men film Logan as Delilah, a mutant child who has the power to create and manipulate ice.[5]

  • When she received the call to announce her she was cast as Lucy, Alison was in her family's car, and she started screaming and jumping so loud that everyone outside was looking.[6]
