Adam Karp is a writer for ABC's Once Upon a Time.


Adam J. Karp's career began when he served as a production assistant on the 2002 science fiction film Minority Report,[1] starring Tom Cruise. He later served as an assistant on two episodes of the comedy-drama series What About Brian?,[2] which ran from 2006 to 2007. He has also worked as an assistant to executive producer David Eick on the military science fiction series Battlestar Galactica and writer David Hudgins on the drama series Friday Night Lights.[3]

He got into writing in 2010 when he served as a writer's assistant on an episode of the drama television series In Plain Sight.[2] He later penned the script for the 2011 television movie Morlocks. In 2012, he won the Humanitas Prize New Voices Award,[3] which focuses on to discovering and helping launch the careers of talented emerging writers.[4] He was also set to write the pilot episodes for the The CW series Unnatural Selection and the CBS series Modern Gothic,[3] but neither were picked up by the networks. In 2014, he served as a writer for the miniseries Parenthood: Friday Night at the Luncheonette,[2] a four-part digital companion series to the drama television series Parenthood.[5] Three years later, he wrote the Teen Wolf episode "Said the Spider to the Fly".[6]
